TURKEY MARKETING AGENCY BEGINS CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Turkey Marketing Agency of Mississauga has begun a new campaign which depicts turkey in place of beef, pork or chicken. The campaign, aimed at women 25 to 54 years of age, describes turkey as a good option for everyday meals. In one of three 15-second commercials, a turkey spokescharacter yells at a Big Bad Wolf. In another ad, the turkey enters a bullring to fight a matador. In one of three magazine ads, the turkey replaces the word "beef" in the line "Nothing says barbeque quite like beef" and writes in the word "turkey." Television advertising began running nationally on Sunday in English and French. The first magazine ad will appear in the April issues of Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Coup de Pouce and 7 Jours. The campaign, created by ACLC Advertising of Toronto, also includes a re-designed Web site at <http://www.turkeyfordinner.ca>.
