TIM HORTONS RELEASES HOCKEY DAY COMMERCIAL

Tim Hortons has released a new television advertising campaign in support of children's hockey. A series of four 30-second spots and one 60-second spot are currently running leading up to Hockey Day in Canada on Feb. 21. Hockey Day in Canada is an annual show produced by the CBC and sponsored by Tim Hortons. The television spots highlight the importance of playing hockey for fun. The teasers feature children working their way through basic practice drills while the 60-second spot builds on the theme of "The first goal is having fun." Along with the spots, POS materials promoting Hockey Day in Canada have also been created. The materials can be seen in Tim Hortons' locations across Canada. Advertising and POS materials were created by Enterprise Creative Selling. Media planning and buying was handled by Excelerator Media, both of Toronto.
