OLYMPIC SPIRIT TORONTO HIRES GROUNDZERO, MAVERICK

The advertising and communication account of Olympic Spirit Toronto has been awarded to Groundzero Marketing Communications. Public relations have been assigned to Maverick Public Relations. The two Toronto-based agencies pitched for the account jointly. Olympic Spirit is a 52,000 square foot Olympic-themed entertainment attraction currently under construction in downtown Toronto. When it opens this summer, the facility will offer simulators, theatres, interactive kiosks, a restaurant and a store. The venue, managed by Toros Entertainment, will be the first in a series of Olympic centres the company plans to open internationally. An unspecified number of additional agencies were also considered for the work, according to Toros.
