SUBWAY BEGINS BREAKFAST CAMPAIGN

Sandwich chain Subway began a new campaign for its breakfast menu on Dec. 29. Created by Calexis of Toronto, the television and radio campaign portrays the breakfast sandwich as fresh and not-greasy. The ads use a 70's-style soundtrack and the tagline "Start Fresh." In the TV commercial, a woman loses a contact lens, avoids a group of dogs and fumbles her briefcase before entering a Subway, where she relaxes. The chain has been introducing the breakfast sandwich in Canada region by region for several years. It arrived in southern Ontario in the summer of 2003.
