CLEARLY CANADIAN LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH REEBOK TO END
By Adnews Staff
Clearly Canadian Beverage of Vancouver does not expect Reebok International of Canton, MA to renew the license agreement the two companies signed in 2001. Under this agreement, Clearly Canadian has been manufacturing, distributing and selling Reebok-branded fitness water in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. According to the company, it was recently advised Reebok will not renew the agreement if certain minimum net sales for 2003 were not reached. In that case, the license will terminate on Dec. 31. According to Clearly Canadian, the firm does not anticipate being able to meet the sales requirements. The company is considering developing its own line of fitness water or seeking another customer. Clearly Canadian produces sparkling flavoured waters, plus the products O+2 and Tre Limone.
