PHONETTIX CHOOSES ENVIRONICS
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Environics Communications is handling public relations and developing a new corporate identity for Phonettix Intelecom of Markham, Ont. The PR firm was hired without a review because Phonettix liked work it had done for other clients and because of its experience with high technology clients, Environics president Bruce MacLellan told Adnews this week. Phonettix recently merged with DMS Group of Toronto. The company is using a PR agency for the first time because it needs a new corporate name as a result of the merger, and it wants to increase its profile, MacLellan said. Phonettix makes interactive voice response software for corporations such as Bell Canada and Toronto Dominion Bank. DMS is a call-centre management company doing business with financial institutions and retailers in Canada and the U.S.
