CORUS TO CHANGE FORMAT OF 98.5 COOL FM

Toronto-based Corus Entertainment will change the format of Quebec radio starion 98.5 COOL FM to news and talk radio on Jan. 5. Previously the station used a French-language rock format. Currently the station format is playing holiday music. The new name, call letters and programming line-up of the station have not yet been released. Corus has announced, however, that programming will include 165 Montreal Expos games. The company has also announced that the station's on-air personnel will include hosts Paul Arcand and Gilles Proulx, hockey coach Jacques Demers, sexologist Julie Pelletier and arts reporter Erick Remy.
