BMW BEGINS X3 SAV MARKETING CAMPAIGN

BMW Group Canada of Whitby, ON has begun the first phase of a marketing campaign for the X3 Sports Activity Vehicle. Approximately one million booklets called "Ultimate Drives Across Canada" are being distributed through newspapers and magazines this week. A contest called "Canadian Rockies Drive" has also begun. Consumers enter by submiting a reply card from the booklet. The prize is a vacation for two in Alberta. Online advertising also began this week. The one-month campaign will run on news, search and city guide Web sites. The ads direct viewers to a Web site at <http://www.bmwx3.ca> when they can enter the contest and get information about the X3. This phase of the campaign will run until December. A second phase will begin in January, consisting of a multi-media advertising effort. The guidebook was developed by Rogers Marketing Solutions and Cundari Integrated Advertising. The Web component was developed by Blast Radius. The media plan developed by The Media Company.
