MASTERCARD HOLDS PRICELESS SEASONS CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
MasterCard Canada is in the middle of a fall campaign called "Priceless Seasons." During the promotion, which will run until Oct. 31, customers can win $25,000 to put towards their own or someone else's education. According to the company, a poll conducted on behalf of MasterCard indicated that 37% of Canadians said they would re-do their college or university education if they won a $25,000 education fund. During the campaign, customers will be entered into the contest each time they use a MasterCard to make a purchase. Twenty-five secondary prizes of $1,000 will also be awarded. Advertising for the promotion includes a television commercial called "Letting Go," inserts in 4.7 million customer statements and collateral materials distributed to merchants. The ad was adapted for Canada by McCann-Erickson of New York. The Priceless Seasons campaign was developed by The Armstrong Partnership of Toronto. Public relations for MasterCard are handled by Environics Communications, also of Toronto.
