TORONT03 BEGINS AMBASSADORS PROGRAM, EXTENDS ROAD TRIP PROMOTION

The Toront03 Alliance has begun a new program called "Ambassadors for Toronto" aimed at the city's media outlets. The email marketing campaign encourages media workers to visit <http://www.toront03.com/ambassador> and submit the email addresses of five people who might be interested in visiting Toronto. Those five people will receive email directing them to the <http://www.toront03.com> Web site. Also, the organization has extended the booking date for the Kids Summer Road Trip travel package from Sept. 1 to Oct. 1. The package promotes Toronto as a travel destination. It consists of free admission for children with an adult to attractions including African Lion Safari, the Canadian National Exhibition, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the CN Tower, Casa Loma, Centreville, Ontario Place and the Ontario Science Centre. Launched earlier this summer, the travel package has been promoted with television advertising in the northeastern U.S.
