GLOBE AND MAIL DEBUTS GLOBE TORONTO

National newspaper The Globe & Mail launched a new section called Globe Toronto yesterday to provide increased coverage of that city. During the week, the newspaper will contain added pages of Toronto news coverage in its front section. On Saturdays Globe Toronto will be a stand-alone section. A multi-million dollar marketing campaign will promote Globe Toronto, including print, radio, outdoor, streetcar and television advertising. The tagline of the campaign is "T.O. with I.Q." The marketing effort will also include public relations and consumer promotions. The ads were done by Naked Creative. Media buying was handled by Gaggi Media. Public relations for The Globe and Mail are handled by Environics Communications. Street promotions are being executed by Free For All Marketing. All of these firms are based in Toronto.
