GROCERY DISTRIBUTORS BREAK BEEF CAMPAIGN

The Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors will begin a two-week campaign in support of the country's beef industry on Aug. 25. Called "Enjoy Canadian Beef More Often," the campaign will invite Canadians to eat more beef at home. As part of the campaign, the council will ask Canadians to have a "Make-It-Beef" barbecue during the two-week period. The Beef Information Centre, a division of the Canadian Cattlemen's Association, will participate in the effort by encouraging Canadians to eat two or more beef meals a week. The campaign will be promoted nationally in grocery store flyers.
