COCA-COLA BEGINS CAMPAIGN FOR CAFFEINE FREE COKE CLASSIC

A print advertising campaign will promote the re-release of Caffeine Free Coca-Cola Classic in Canada next week. The campaign, created by MacLaren McCann of Toronto, uses the tagline, "A little something missing. Still a classic." Each of the five ads will depict a well-know character who is missing something. In one ad, Charlie Chaplin is pictured without his moustache. In another, Linus from comic strip "Peanuts" is missing his blanket. The ads also display the new packaging for the product, created in-house by Coca-Cola. The campaign will run through the summer. Caffeine Free Coca-Cola Classic was first sold in Canada from 1983 to 1990, then again from 1991 to 1993.
