NEW MARKETING VP AT BANANA REPUBLIC

San Francisco-based retailer Gap has appointed Jack Calhoun executive vice-president of marketing for its Banana Republic chain. Calhoun replaces Amy Schoening, who has resigned the position. He was previously executive vice-president of brand management and advertising at Charles Schwab. He has also worked at Foote, Cone & Belding, Citron Haligman Bedecarre, Young & Rubicam, Levi Strauss and Procter & Gamble. Gap sells clothing, accessories and personal care products under the names Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy.
