SEVEN UP TO CONTINUE TELEVISION CAMPAIGN IN NEW YEAR

Dr Pepper/Seven Up of Plano, TX will release five new television commercials for its "Make 7 Up Yours" advertising campaign in January. Actor and comedian Godfrey will appear in the ads in the character of the 7 UP Guy. In one ad the 7 UP Guy visits a house to prevent the resident from skipping through the 7 UP commercials on television. In another ad he develops a tracking device that locates the nearest source of 7 UP. The commercials were created by Young & Rubicam of New York. They will air through the year during programs aimed at teens and young adults, as well as during special programming including the Grammy Awards and MTV's Spring Break. The "Make 7 UP Yours" campaign has been running since November 1999.
