YOUNG & RUBICAM TAKES PRISZM BRANDZ CONSOLIDATED ACCOUNT

Young & Rubicam Canada has been appointed the national agency of record for priszm brandz's KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants. The company began an agency review last month when it decided to consolidate the accounts of the three chains with one agency. Previously advertising for KFC was done by Ogilvy & Mather, advertising for Pizza Hut was done by BBDO Canada and advertising for Taco Bell was done by TBWA\Chiat\Day. All three incumbent agencies, along with Young & Rubicam, Bates Canada, Flavour and Grip were invited by priszm to participate in the review. Media buying for the restaurants will continue to be handled by OMD of Toronto. Chris Davies, director of culture and communications for priszm brandz, said the company will take a look at its media strategy once the transition of its advertising accounts to Young & Rubicam has been completed. This transition is expected to be complete by early March.
