MICROSOFT BUILDS WEB SITE FOR FAMILIES

Microsoft Canada opened a new Web site at <http://www.familywave.ca> yesterday aimed at families and women. It contains information on different ways to use a home computer, presented as articles and tips related to life, style and fun. This content is to be updated on a regular basis. At launch the site offered articles on making gift wrap with a PC, creating online gift lists for the holiday season, organizing recipes and avoiding holiday boredom. The site, built by Iprimate of Toronto, is being promoted with banner ads on MSN.ca. A print campaign in target consumer magazines is planned for the spring. Advertising, media planning and media buying for Familywave.ca is done by MacLaren McCann of Toronto.
