SONY STORE INTRODUCES NEW TAGLINE

The Sony Store introduced a new tagline, "We Speak Your Language," on Monday in a new national retail brand advertising campaign. The tagline is used in two television commercials which depict consumers guided or comforted by Sony Store consultants. In the first ad, called "Directions," a woman waits in a car while a man asks a Sony Store consultant for directions on how to set up a home theatre system. In the second as, called "Unconscious," a man in a hospital bed is told by a Sony Store consultant that his wife approved the purchase of new home theatre components. Both commercials, along with a French version of "Directions," are now running on specialty stations. Two three-week runs on national networks will take place between Nov. 4 and Dec. 22. The ads were created by MacLaren McCann of Toronto. Public relations for The Sony Store are handled by Strategic/Ampersand of Toronto.
