TIM HORTONS PROMOTES BIG BAGUETTE

Tim Hortons has begun a four-week awareness effort to promote its new Baguette sandwich. The national campaign, created by Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto, includes television, radio and outdoor advertising. The first television ad shows a hungry sales clerk whose rumbling stomach sets off a car alarm and a crying child. The rumbling stops after he eats a Baguette sandwich. The second commercial shows a baguette fresh from an oven. Parisian-style music plays while phrases such as "La Baguette," "Très Belle," "Délicieuse" and "Bon Appétit" appear on the screen. The radio and outdoor advertising focus on the size of the sandwich. The advertising is being supported with in-store materials which display product shots of the sandwich.
