SECOND CUP CONTINUES FIRST THING CAMPAIGN

Toronto-based coffee retailer Second Cup is about to add ten new billboard advertisments to its "Second Cup First Thing" campaign. The six English and four French billboards will be installed nationally on Aug. 19. The creative presents humorous headlines that convey the effects of a morning cup of coffee. The new billboards maintain this theme. One ad reads, "Coffee first. Then the grind." Another reads, "Espresso an straighten out sentence this will." The campaign was created by Holmes and Lee of Toronto last year. "The campaign is a great way to reach customers on the go to remind them Second Cup is the perfect destination for incredible coffee," said agency president John Lee. Media planning for Second Cup is handled by Gaggi Media Communications of Toronto. Public relations are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
