TD WATERHOUSE PROMOTES INTEGRATED SERVICES

TD Bank Financial Group of Toronto unveiled a newly-reorganized TD Waterhouse yesterday. The Canadian retail wealth management operation now consists of three service divisions integrated under a single umbrella brand. TD Waterhouse Discount Brokerage gives clients the ability to manage their investments on their own. TD Waterhouse Investment Advice, formerly TD Evergreen, is a full-service brokerage for clients who want the advice of an investment advisor. TD Waterhouse Financial Planning is aimed at clients who want to develop a long-term investment strategy with the assistance of a financial planner. These services can be accessed in person at 274 Canadian locations, by telephone or online. The company's intention is to allow customers to move easily between the different types and levels of services depending on their changing needs. "We're all very excited about the changes we've made," said Rob MacLellan, chairman of TD Wealth Management and new head of TD Waterhouse Canada. "Our customers have indicated that TD Waterhouse is a brand they have a lot of confidence in and our employees have been working hard to prepare for this launch." The changes at TD Waterhouse will be promoted with a national print advertising campaign that will "grow in intensity as the fall investing season approaches," according to the company. In-branch materials and new signage will also reflect the changes. The company is also engaged in ongoing sponsorships of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Recent advertising for TD Bank Financial Group has been done by FCB Toronto. Public relations for the institution are handled by National Public Relations of Toronto.
