QUEBEC TOURIST ATTRACTIONS BEGIN PROMOTIONAL EFFORT
By Adnews Staff
The Sociéte des attractions touristiques du Québec has begun a new promotional campaign aimed at Quebecers who plan to spend their vacation at home. Thirty-eight tourist attractions are participating in the campaign which broke yesterday with a series of television commercials on MétéoMédia and the TVA network. A 30-second spot running twice a day will promote two attractions at a time. A 45-second spot and a 10-second spot have also been created. A photography contest in partnership with PJC Jean Coutu and Konica is also part of the campaign. Entrants must submit a picture of one of the attractions participating in the campaign. Photographs will be posted at the <http://www.atttactionsquebec.com> Web site where visitors will vote on the best shot. Each week of the ten-week contest the winning photographer and some voters will receive prizes. At the end of the contest, a grand prize draw from all weekly winners, photographers and voters, will be held. The winner will receive a Konica camera, a cruise to the Madeleine Islands, a ten day stay at the islands and a $400 gift certificate from PJC Jean Coutu. Public relations for the society are handled by Hansen Communications of Longueuil, PQ.
