MCDONALD'S HOLDS AUDITIONS IN TORONTO'S UNION STATION
By Adnews Staff
McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Ltd. held a two-hour casting call this morning in Toronto's Union Station. Between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m., commuters were invited to audition for a cameo role in an upcoming McDonald's television commercial. Entrants were required to sing the lyric, "There's a Little McDonald's in Everyone." The auditions were videotaped and simultaneously displayed on a large screen television in the station. A second audition event will take place on May 7. All videotapes will then be reviewed to determine a winner. An ad campaign in Union Station through IMA Media of Toronto is supporting the events. Backlit signs, floor ads, column wraps, wall murals and door stickers were installed on April 15. Advertising for McDonald's is done by Cossette Communication-Marketing. Public relations are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
