COSSETTE CREATES NEW DIVISION

At its annual shareholders meeting yesterday Cossette Communication Group of Quebec City introduced a new strategic planning division called Nucleus. The unit will use a strategic process to define "the essence of a brand and help companies develop their corporate culture," said Cossette president François Duffar. Cossette has already used the approach for Bell Canada's "Go" campaign and for McDonald's Restaurants of Canada's "There's a little McDonald's in everyone" campaign, according to the agency. The division is headed by Bill Durnan, acting president of Cossette Toronto.
