IMPERIAL OIL RUNS OLYMPIC PROMOTION

Imperial Oil of Toronto is running a national promotion called "Team Canada Double Points Days" at participating Esso stations. Esso Extra, Royal Bank Esso Visa and Speedpass cardholders will receive double points the day after Team Canada's Men's or Women's hockey team wins a game at the Olympic Games. Points will be granted between 6:00 a.m. and midnight local time on individual items purchased. Imperial Oil supported the promotion with national radio advertising prior to the start of the games. Banner ads are running in The Globe and Mail and The Toronto Star newspapers following each winning game. Additional radio advertising and POS materials at the stations are also supporting the promotion, which runs until Feb. 24. Advertising for the promotion was done by Palmer Jarvis DDB.
