CN TOWER HIRES SHARPE BLACKMORE

The CN Tower has appointed Sharpe Blackmore Euro RSCG its agency of record. The Toronto agency won the account following a review. It will be responsible for the creative and media assignments for the world's tallest freestanding building. "Sharpe Blackmore's creative energy was completely consistent with ours," said CN Tower president Bud Purves. "They were enthusiastic about the assignment and communicated the strengths of our brand with very simple yet powerful executions." The agency's first project for the tower was a campaign for The Wonder of Wine, a promotion held just before the holidays in support of the 360 Restaurant. The creative showed the structure of the tower morphed into a corkscrew. The agency is now working on a brand campaign to begin in the spring.
