AIC RETURNS TO BUY, HOLD, PROSPER CAMPAIGN

AIC Group of Funds will extend its "Buy. Hold. And Prosper" campaign to television this year. The mutual fund company, based in Burlington, ON, began the branding effort last year. The campaign was created by Brandworks International. This year the Toronto agency used X L'Agence of Montreal to adapt the campaign for Quebec. Ten-second spots will run on CBC, CTV, TSN, the History Channel and French-language channels RDI and LCN. Viewers will see three different executions in one 30-second commercial cluster. Also included in the campaign are 15-second television executions, newspaper and magazine ads, radio commercials, outdoor and online creative and collateral materials. The advertising targets three groups: advisors and brokers, current investors and potential investors. Stephen Clarke, vice-president of marketing for AICs said the campaign is uncomplicated and encourages investors to adopt a long-term view of investing based the performance of buy and hold investing.
