REDUCE, REUSE, REPLAY CAMPAIGN GETS BOOST FROM BAUER NIKE

The "Reduce, Reuse, Replay" campaign begun by The Beer Store earlier this month has received a donation from Bauer Nike. The campaign encourages people to recycle their used hockey equipment by dropping it off at any of the 433 Beer Stores retail locations in Ontario. Once the campaign has concluded next month, The Beer Store will donate the equipment to Ontario minor hockey associations. The associations will then distribute it to needy families. "We currently reuse and recycle almost 98% of our containers and packaging. If we can apply the same success with used hockey equipment, we can make a lot of kids happier and may change their lives forever," said Lucio Di Clemente, president of the Beer Store. Bauer Nike has donated $7,750 worth of hockey equipment including 200 hockey sticks, 24 pairs of skates, six pairs of hockey pants and a box of hockey jerseys. Print and radio advertising accompanied by in-store materials are supporting the campaign. The creative features Don Cherry, the spokesperson for the "Reduce, Reuse, Replay" effort. Integram Marketing , which proposed the concept, created the advertising. Public relations are being handled by Holmes Creative Communications.
