WORKOPOLIS BREAKS FRENCH LANGUAGE CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Workopolis.com is promoting the launch of its new French-language edition with a $1 million advertising campaign. The Toronto-based online job site is operated by Bell Globemedia Interactive, which teamed up with Gesca Ltd. to create the French edition. Gesca is the newspaper publishing subsidiary of Montreal-based Power Corporation. Print ads running in La Presse, Le Soleil and other Gesca newspapers are promoting Workopolis to recruiters and job seekers. The ads use tagline "Canada's biggest job site." Additional components on the campaign, which will run until the end of the year, include billboards with the headline "Bienvenue a Workopolis" (Welcome to Workopolis) in Montreal and Quebec City and online banner ads. Workopolis' French language campaign was done by Ranscombe & Co. of Toronto, which handles the site's English-language advertising. Public relations are being handled by Capital Image, the Montreal office of Environics Communications in Toronto, which handles PR for Workopolis in English Canada.
