BUZZ TO PROMOTE ABSOLUT CULINARY ARTS AWARD

Buzz Marketing & Public Relations has been hired by Maxxium Canada, distributors of Absolut Vodka, to promote Absolut's sponsorship of a new culinary arts category in the Toronto Arts Awards. These awards are held by Arts Toronto, a not-for-profit charitable organization that works to heighten awareness of the arts and artists in Toronto. Its annual awards program aims to honor people who have made major contributions to the cultural life of Toronto. Buzz Marketing & Public Relations won the assignment through a referral from Arts Toronto, which uses Buzz for PR on a pro-bono basis. Promotion of the culinary arts award began with a national announcement. The first winner, John Higgins, executive chef at the Le Royal Meridien King Edward in Toronto, received the award at a ceremony in Toronto yesterday. A global campaign, for which Buzz with work with Toronto ad agency TBWAChiatDay, will follow later this fall in cultural and beverage trade media.
