TBWACHIATDAY OMD SWALLOWS CADBURY MEDIA BUSINESS

TBWAChiatDay OMD has won the media planning and buying business of Toronto-based chocolate and candy manufacturer Cadbury Trebor Allen Inc. The $6 million account was awarded following an agency competition in which TBWAChiatDay OMD pitched against Carat Cairns. The incumbent, Starcom, did not participate. TBWAChiatDay OMD will be partnering with TBWAChiatDay in New York, which currently handles the creative portion of the account. Cadbury Trebor Allan's brands include Caramilk, Dairy Milk, Creme Eggs, Crispy Crunch, Mr Big, Maynards Wine Gums, Fuzzy Peach, Sour Patch Kids and Sour Cheery Blasters. The company is a subsidiary of London-based Cadbury Schweppes.
