LABATT CANS PROMOTE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS PARTNERSHIP

Labatt Breweries of Canada has created a series of special edition Labatt Blue cans to promote its partnership with the Edmonton 2001 IAAF World Championships in Athletics. Available until August 21, the series consists of eight cans. Seven cans depict World's events such as track, pole vault and shot put. The eighth can displays the Edmonton 2001 logo and a description of the event with statistics and contact information. Over three million cans are being produced at Labatt's Edmonton brewery to be distributed to retailers in Western Canada. The cans will be promoted with in-store materials. The company worked with Shikatani Lacroix Design Inc. of Toronto to design the cans. Shikatani also worked with Labatt to create 150 framed sets of cans to be used in contests and giveaways at retail outlets in Edmonton. Labatt is a national partner of the 8th World Championships in Athletics which takes place in Edmonton from August 3 to 12.
