TELUS DELIVERS MYTO.COM MESSAGE ON-AIR, ON STREETS

Telus, based in Burnaby, BC, has undertaken a six-week campaign for its MyTO.com Web portal. Radio spots promoting the site began airing on Toronto radio stations last week, pitching MyTO.com as a source for up-to-date entertainment information. The campaign also involves mobile billboards through Motomedia Advertising of Woodbridge, ON, which started rolling last week. The creative uses the taglines "The Tourist Guide for Locals" and "Toronto's Favourite Know It All." The campaign will be accompanied by an online contest, created in-house, launching next week. To promote the contest 75,000 CD-ROMs will be distributed. The grand prize is a trip for two to Cuba. The MyTO.com advertising campaign was created by Palmer Jarvis DDB of Vancouver with media handled by OMD.
