ASTRAL MEDIA HOLDS RADICALLY VERTICAL CONTEST

Montreal-based Astral Media Outdoor is holding a contest called "Radically Vertical". Every month between now and January 2002, visitors can cast a vote for the "vertical ad most worthy of winning in Cannes" from among a selection of vertical outdoor ads posted on the contest Web site at <http://www.vertiastral.com>. The ad with the most votes at the end of each month will be entered as a finalist. The grand prize winner will be chosen in March 2002 by a jury of creative staff from Canadian advertising agencies. That ad will be entered into competition for the Cannes Lions and the ad's creators will win a trip to the advertising festival in June 2002. Astral Media Outdoor said its "Radically Vertical" theme is derived from the shape of its vertical board as well as its size of 16 feet in height. Promotional support for the contest will include print advertising in industry trade publications, online advertising, direct mail and promotional objects from TNT Stratégie-Créativité of Montreal.
