THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS STOPS AT SWISS CHALET
By Adnews Staff
Scholastic Entertainment's The Magic School Bus will stop at Swiss Chalet this summer as part of a promotion running until August 12. During the eight-week promotion, which broke yesterday, one of six The Magic School Bus games will be offered with the purchase of a Kid's Meal at Swiss Chalet. The Magic School Bus follows the adventures of Ms. Frizzle and her class from Walkerville Elementary as they go on field trips in a school bus that transforms into everything from a spaceship to a submarine. A variety of The Magic School Bus premiums will also be available from July 30 to August 12. Also appearing in conjunction with The Magic School Bus promotion is "Sir Prize," Swiss Chalet's new clown mascot. A Sir Prize toy tube will be brought to kids at their tables at the end of each meal. A live mascot is being developed that will make special appearances at Swiss Chalet restaurants. Swiss Chalet's The Magic School Bus promotion will be supported with a 15-second television commercial from Ambrose Carr Linton Carroll and with in-restaurant materials. Public relations for Swiss Chalet are handled by Strategic Objectives. Both agencies are based in Toronto.
