OMNICOM MERGES GRIFFIN BACAL AND MOSS DRAGOTI

Omnicom Group is merging Griffin Bacal, a DDB owned unit, and Moss Dragoti, owned by DDB parent Omnicom, according to reports in AdAge and Adweek. The combined agency will drop the Griffin name and operate as Moss Dragoti in the U.S., the reports said. In Canada, Toronto-based Griffin Bacal Volny will operate as an independent DDB agency. Griffin Bacal clients including Mott's, Pepsi and K'Nex will be handled by Moss Dragoti, which also takes on operations for Griffin's children's marketing unit Kid Think and online family research unit LiveWire.
