SIMON WHITFIELD RUNS ONTO CHEERIOS BOXES

General Mills Canada Inc. of Mississauga has unveiled a Cheerios cereal box bearing the image of Canadian Olympic gold medal winner Simon Whitfield. Whitfield signed a sponsorship deal with Cheerios in October following his win of the first Olympic men's triathlon in Sydney. The boxes carry a short profile of the athlete and a list of his goals. The boxes began shipping last week in conjunction with Whitfield's participation in the Victoria International Triathlon which took place over the weekend. The rdesigned boxes are being promoted with public and media relations from Optimum Public Relations of Toronto.
