HEALTH CANADA APPOINTS AGENCY FOR ABORIGINAL WORK
By Adnews Staff
Health Canada has hired two agencies, Spirit Creative of Ottawa and Lacroix-Bleau Communication-Marketing of Montreal, to handle communications projects targeting Aboriginal people. Spirit Creative and Lacroix-Bleau, which teamed up to pitch for the account, beat out the incumbent Toirier Communications of Ottawa, which had teamed with Groupaction of Montreal, and Cree-Ative Media Inc. of Ottawa for the three-year contract. "The fact that Spirit Creative is an agency specialized in and dedicated to Aboriginal people and whose communications to First Nations have shown concrete results, combined with Lacroix-Bleau's expertise in the health industry, are two major factors that influenced Health Canada's decision," said Marc Lacroix, president of Lacroix-Bleau.
