SEAGRAM HEIGHTENS SENSES IN NEW CROWN ROYAL SPOT

Montreal-based Seagram Canada is continuing with the "It's that smooth" theme in a new television advertising campaign for its Crown Royal whisky. The campaign is from Grey Worldwide of New York. The spot, called "Senses", features visually impaired actor Peter Seymour. It opens on Seymour as he enters a bar, orders a Crown Royal and sits down beside two men. One of the men says, "You know, they say when you're blind all your other senses may become heightened." As the spot ends Seymour leans over to the two men and says, "Guys I think the one on the left likes me," referring to two women sitting behind him. The ad broke on Monday and will air on major Canadian networks in 30- and 15-second versions throughout May. Public relations for Seagram Canada are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
