BLUE JAYS PITCH "GREAT MOMENTS" IN NEW CAMPAIGN

The Toronto Blue Jays broke a new multimedia advertising campaign this week as the club prepares for its 25th season. The campaign, from the Jays' AOR Echo Advertising & Marketing Inc. of Toronto, features three new television commercials in addition to print and direct mail components. Peter Cosentino, director of marketing for the Toronto Blue Jays, said the campaign is all about reconnecting with the fan base. The spots feature president and CEO Paul Godfrey, manager Buck Martinez and player Carlos Delgado. Each spot also features a "great moment" from the team's past seasons. The ads are running on TSN, Global, Headline Sports, City-TV, CTV, CBC and Sportsnet until Feb. 4. The 2001 Major League Baseball season begins in April.
