AGF FILM SERIES TO RUN AT FESTIVALS
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based AGF Funds Inc. is supporting its sponsorship of the Montreal World Film Festival and the Toronto and Vancouver International Film Festivals with a series of five new spots. The spots are in the form of movie trailers and are scheduled to run before screenings of films at the Montreal festival and during the AGF Festival Favourites series at the Toronto festival beginning August 25. In Vancouver the trailers will run throughout the festival until October 5. The series of spots is called Film-What AGF is doing after work and builds on the mutual fund company's advertising theme "What are you doing after work?" Each spot, produced by the Sebastian Consultancy of Toronto, features an AGF employee portraying a fanatical film addict. The Montreal festival runs August 25 to September 4. AGF is presenting the World Greats program which features best films of the year. The Toronto festival runs September 7 to September 16. AGF is presenting the Festival Favourites program beginning August 25. The program is a week long presentation of the festival's most popular movies. The Vancouver festival runs September 22 to October 5. This is AGF's second year as a major sponsor of the festival. According to AGF, the trailers will be followed by prequels and sequels which are "already in the works."
