THE ZONE ENTERS U.S. MARKET

The Zone Entertainment Group Inc. of Richmond, Vancouver and AMF Bowling Centers Inc. of Richmond, Virginia are entering into a strategic alliance that will develop bowling-based family entertainment complexes in the United States. Zone Entertainment operates family entertainment complexes in Western Canada, specifically "Zone" bowling centres and "Big River" pubs and restaurants. AMF Bowling Centers owns and operates 539 bowling centers worldwide and manufacturers bowing center equipment. The new complexes use AMF bowling equipment and feature the layout and design of The Zone's current Canadian locations. Corporate communications and investor relations for The Zone are handled by Mindshare Communications of Vancouver.
