SKI-DOO REVIEW ADVANCES
By Adnews Staff
Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. of Valcourt, Quebec, a division of Bombardier Inc., has shortlisted three Montreal-based advertising agencies for its Ski-Doo brand review. According to a report in the National Post, the company has shortlisted Groupaction, Cossette Communication-Marketing and Ryan & Deslauriers. Each agency is said to be making a pitch for the $15 million account in conjunction with a U.S. partner. Groupaction is teamed with J. Walter Thompson of Detroit, Cossette Communication is paired with Cramer-Krasselt of Milwaukee and R&D is said to be working with U.S. freelancers. Bombardier, despite the fact that most Ski-Doo sales are made in the U.S., wants a French-language-capable agency for the Quebec market. Presentations are scheduled to take place in mid-June. A decision is expected by the end of the month. The company launched this review in late March. The incumbent on the account was Ogilvy & Mather of Dearborn, Michigan.
