ROCHE MACAULAY DROPS HARRY, PICKS UP HOLT
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Roche Macaulay & Partners Advertising Inc. has ended its four-year relationship with men's retailer Harry Rosen Inc. The move is the result of the agency's winning the advertising assignment for Holt Renfrew & Co. Ltd. Dave Lackie, PR manager for Harry Rosen, told Adnews the retailer will be putting its account into review. He said although the company was surprised by the agency's move, it had been happy with the work Roche had done for them in the past and wished them well in the future. Sally Scott, Holt's director of promotions and marketing, said the company had concluded its contractual agreement with Toronto-based LA Ads, which won Holt's advertising business last June. She said the retailer is moving in a new advertising direction and wanted an agency with full resources in the retail industry. Roche's first work for Holt is expected this fall.
