TBWA WHEELS OUT NISSAN PATHFINDER SPOT

TBWA Chiat/Day of Toronto went to the heart of the jungle to create a new spot for Nissan Canada's 2001 Pathfinder. The ad, which uses the theme that "power changes everything", launched nationally on April 3. It opens with a lion being chased by a Pathfinder. As music plays, the lion runs and jumps through a jungle environment. A voice-over describes the SUV's new "powerful" engine. The spot ends with the vehicle coming to a stop and an antelope getting out of the driver's side, followed by the tagline "power changes everything." Sixty- and thirty-second versions of the spot are running in both English and French throughout the year. Nissan Canada, based in Mississauga, Ontario, is targeting Canadian SUV buyers.
