GCI GROUP WINS FORBES MEDI-TECH ACCOUNT

Toronto-based GCI Group has won the Forbes Medi-Tech Inc. account following a competitive pitch. The Vancouver-based biotechnology company awarded the business to GCI over an undisclosed number of public relation agencies pitching for the account. GCI will provide strategic communications council. Forbes Medi-Tech is dedicated to the research of nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products derived from nature. It will immediately begin working with its new public relations agency to create a North American corporate awareness campaign targeting consumers. Nancy Croitoru, president of GCI Group Canada, said the agency's corporate division and healthcare practice will be working on the account.
