ING PUTS SPOTLIGHT ON NEW FUNDS

Toronto-based ING Direct will promote three new mutual funds with a 30-second television spot that will debut next week. The spot, which features company spokesperson Frederik de Groot, will promote the new ING Canadian Fund, ING American Fund and the ING Global Brand Names Fund. Currently the funds are only available in Ontario. As the availability expands, beginning with the B.C. markets, the television spot will also. Additional promotional support for the new funds will include direct mail, Internet and trade shows. Advertising for ING is done by Garneau Wurstlin Philip, Brand Engineering of Toronto.
