Kruger begins Canadian campaign
By Derek Winkler
Household paper products company Kruger Products has begun a new advertising campaign called “Made by Canadians for Canadians.” According to the company, the initiative is intended to attract the attention of consumers seeking to purchase Canadian-made products. The creative seeks to use humour by illustrating various nuances of Canadian culture. It promotes the brands Cashmere, Purex, SpongeTowels, Scotties and Bonterra.
“Canadians clearly want to support products made in Canada, but it can be tricky to identify while shopping,” said Susan Irving, chief marketing officer at Kruger Products. “As a proud Canadian brand known for helping clean up messes, we're happy to help. Not all tissue products on Canadian shelves are made in Canada, so we are making it easier for them to check the label and buy with confidence. We've placed the words ‘Made in Canada’ right on our packaging to showcase our pride in manufacturing our products locally.”
