WestJet releases holiday video

Calgary-based airline WestJet has resumed a holiday season campaign called “Real-Time Giving.” The campaign features a video depicting a Santa Claus character dressed in blue asking children about to board a flight in Toronto what they thought their parents and other adults would like for Christmas. Then, during the 4.5 hour flight, airline staff visit a variety of stores to collect the gifts. When the flight landed in Calgary, each of the 130 passengers received a wrapped gift via the baggage carousel.

“As a mom, I'm often amused by what my kids guess I might like for Christmas,” said Jennifer Callegaro, director of marketing at WestJet. “Our annual Christmas Miracle is a heartwarming reminder of the magic of giving. WestJet is proud to continue our tradition of spreading joy, while helping our guests travelling over the holidays create magical memories. With the launch of WestJet's new brand platform this year, we are renewing our commitment to meaningfully impact our guests' travel stories while we connect them to the people and places that matter most.”
