Petro-Canada begins SnackUps promotion
By Rob Bale
Gas station chain Petro-Canada has begun a promotion called “SnackUps.” For a limited time, participants in the chain’s Petro-Points loyalty program will receive 50% more points when they purchase snack food products. The promotion features three recipes developed by chef Laurent Dagenais making use of various snack foods available at Petro-Canada locations. The recipes are available online at <http://www.petro-points.ca/snackup>. The promotion also includes installations at a number of summer festivals and fairs. Consumers at these events who sign up for the loyalty program can spin a wheel to win prizes including gift cards and snacks. Petro-Canada is a subsidiary of Calgary-based Suncor Energy.
“We’re thrilled to bring in one of the country’s top culinary talents to help show Canadians how they can combine our program and products with their own creativity, taking their snack game to the next level while earning more rewards,” said Amanda Mitchell, director of loyalty at Suncor. “As we continue to grow our offering through partnerships with RBC and Triangle Rewards, our focus remains on making Petro-Points the best rewards program for Canadian drivers.”
